Biography	I am a life long Scouter, who started as a youth completing both my Arrow of Light and Eagle Scout.  I was a Scoutmaster for a couple of years before I had children on my own.   My extended family including my parents and two brothers have also been involved in Scouting.  Both my brothers are Eagle Scouts and have boys involved in Scouting.  I now have a daughter and son, who is also involved as a Boy Scout in Frisco, TX.
Why I am qualified to teach Citizenship in the Community*	A nation is a patchwork of communities that differ from each other and may be governed differently. But regardless of how local communities differ, they all have one point in common: In the United States, local government means self-government. Good citizens help to make decisions about their community through their elected local officials. With this merit badge, you will learn what citizenship means, learn how local government works, and how your participation in your community can shape it in the future.
